What information we collect
We may collect information that you provide directly to us, including your name, business email address, company details, messages, service requests, billing information, and information you choose to provide for a RevenueTrace analysis.
Where deeper analysis is requested, we aim to work with aggregate business data rather than customer-level personal data wherever possible. We do not ask for your Shopify, Meta, or other platform passwords.
We may also process limited technical information required to operate and secure our website and services, such as device, browser, IP address, and basic server-log information.
How we use information
We use information to:
respond to enquiries and provide requested services;
prepare and deliver RevenueTrace reports and recommendations;
manage customer relationships, payments and records;
operate, secure and improve our website and services;
comply with legal, accounting and regulatory requirements; and
communicate with business contacts where permitted by applicable law.
Our lawful bases may include taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business. Where consent is legally required, we will ask for it.
Data minimisation and retention
Our approach is simple: Collect minimum. Store minimum. Delete quickly.
Raw analysis files are typically deleted within 30 days after report delivery, unless a longer retention period is agreed.
Some business, contractual, payment and accounting records may be retained for longer where necessary to meet legal, tax, dispute-resolution or record-keeping requirements.
Service providers
We may use trusted service providers to help operate RevenueTrace, including providers of website hosting, business email, payments, document storage, security and AI-assisted analysis.
These providers may process information on our behalf only where necessary to provide their services. We do not sell personal data.
International data transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy arrangements or approved contractual protections for international transfers.
Cookies and analytics
We may use strictly necessary technologies required for the website to function and remain secure.
We will not intentionally enable non-essential advertising or behavioural tracking technologies without providing appropriate information and, where required, obtaining consent.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal data, and in some circumstances request data portability.
To exercise a privacy right, contact privacy@getrevenuetrace.com.
UK individuals also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Individuals in the EEA may have the right to complain to their local data protection authority.
Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Policy as RevenueTrace develops. The latest version will always be published on this page.
